I was able to arrive here in Texas a couple of days early.  Part of the reason is to relax, to also to help a little to get the conference off on a good foot forward. 

Here are a couple of pictures from my day today, Saturday as we stuffed your bag that you have slung over your shoulder.

We had a group of students from Grapevine High School help us.  They were from the ecology class.  So, what do they teach in ecology????  Got me.  But they were a big help.

I just thought I would show you some of the pictures from my trip from Salt Lake City on Thursday August 21st.  I was a nice enjoyable drive.  I left Salt Lake City around 1:00pm.

One of the interesting areas in Utah is Coal Country.  There is a location just before Price, Utah that has a coal seam running in the side of a mountain that the road goes through.  It kind of shows how coal looks in the ground.  It’s pretty cool to me.

Since we are in the Four Corners region, I thought it would be appropriate to get there.  It’s a little bit of a cheesy area, but it’s still very cool.  It’s actually maintained by the Navajo Nation.
